Facility Energy Assessment
Our staff has participated and directed several hundred energy assessments covering a wide variety of industrial, institutional and commercial facilities. Our facility energy assessment service includes a thorough evaluation of processes, buildings and grounds and recommendation of economical energy conservation and demand response opportunities based on solid engineering analyses. Our experience encompasses practically every type of commercial, institutional, process and industrial facility. We have the capability to design energy assessment protocols and perform diagnosis of complicated building and process energy issues.
Targeted Energy Assessment
Energy IQ performs detailed, targeted assessments of major energy-consuming equipment for evaluation of cost effective energy efficiency and demand response opportunities. The equipment include but is not limited to:
Lighting Systems
• Compressed air systems
• Boilers, hot water and steam systems
• Chilled water systems
• Clean rooms
• Industrial refrigeration systems
• Furnaces
Design Review for Energy Efficiency (Savings-By-Design)
Energy IQ draws on its extensive field experience and knowledge of state-of-the-art energy efficient technologies to evaluate designs (by others) for new construction and to recommend design improvements yielding the most energy efficient outcome.
Measurement and Verification (M&V)
As a routine part of our energy assessments, Energy IQ provides measurement and valuation (M&V) of equipment and facility energy consumption. This service includes measurements of lighting levels, motor energy consumption, boiler exhaust gas analysis, surface temperature, air/gas velocity in ducts and conduits, and any other parameter deemed necessary by M&V protocols.
We can provide this service on both a short- and long-term basis using data loggers and computer data acquisition systems. Based on the customer’s needs, we follow relevant protocols from ASHRAE, the Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and International Performance Measurement and Verification (IPM&V).
